Exploring Hrensko

Your tour will start with Hrensko village. You will be exploring, a mysterious world of crystal-clear water, high rock walls covered with moss and divine tranquillity.  This picturesque village of half-timbered houses is the gateway to Bohemian Switzerland and also a perfect place to shop for souvenirs. It is where the River Elbe leaves the Czech Republic after the last Czech tributary river, Kamanience, dissolves in Elbe.

To put the cherry on the cake after a beautiful walk we will take you to our carefully selected local restaurant. Boat ride in Bohemian Switzerland

The most romantic attraction in Bohemian Switzerland National Park is The Gorges of the Kamenice River. You can walk beneath rock ledges, through several tunnels, and across narrow bridges. So deep in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland, that some parts are only accessible on a small riverboat. The cruise between the narrow sandstone walls takes 30 min and is one of the most serene experiences and our favourite spot in the park. Filmmakers used it to create the magical world of Narnia in their movie.

This gorgeous walk will truly take you to your deeper connection with nature. This hiking trail starts a bit steep from the top and goes down to the valley of Kamenice River. The same trail is used these days (After the wildfire in Bohemian Switzerland) to come back to the regional point so will require walking uphill. Even though it’s not as easy as it used to be due to the uphill climb, the whole experience and nature that you get to enjoy is absolutely worth it.

Exploring Bastei Bridge

The last point of interest is Bastei in the Saxon part of the National Park (Germany). The Bastei rock formation has plenty of viewpoints over the Elbe Canyon on the right bank of the river Elbe. You can easily walk across the famous sandstone bridge that connects Bastei and visit the ruins of the old medieval Neurathen rock castle from the 13th century.

We will drive you back to your hotel in Prague around 6 pm. Your camera will be full of beautiful photos, great memories, and one more Bohemia Adventure story to tell.
