Your English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel in Prague in the early morning. From that point, our mission is to give you everything you need to enjoy the day trip to the fullest. During the drive to the Northern Bohemia in our comfortable van (2 hrs), we will provide you with a knowledge of the National Park, Czech country, and information about the trip.
You'll start the day by exploring Hrensko Village, you'll discover a mysterious world of crystal-clear water, high rock walls covered with moss, and divine tranquillity. This picturesque village of half-timbered houses is an excellent spot for souvenir shopping. It is where the River Elbe leaves the Czech Republic after the last Czech tributary river, Kamanience, dissolves in Elbe.
Get ready to satisfy your taste buds with a delicious lunch at the next tour stop, right in the heart of the national park amidst breathtaking vistas! Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or vegan, your culinary preferences are covered. And if you're a fan of traditional Czech cuisine, you're in for a treat! We'll treat you to the main course of your choice and a refreshing drink. But that's not all - this restaurant, is located on the top of the boat ride hiking trail and offers panoramic views that will leave you spellbound. And for families travelling with children, the added bonus of a playground area ensures that your little ones will have a blast during lunchtime.
The most romantic part of our trip will take place in gorges of Kamenice river canyon in the most preserved part of the National park. You will take a walk beneath rock ledges, several tunnels and across narrow footbridges. So deep in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland, that some parts are only accessible on a small river boat. The cruise between the narrow sandstone walls is one of the most serene experiences and our favorite spot in the National park.
The last point of interest is Bastei in the Saxon part of the National Park (Germany). The Bastei rock formation has plenty of viewpoints over the Elbe canyon on the right bank of the river Elbe. You can walk across the famous sandstone bridge that connects Bastei and explore ruins of old Neurathen rock castle.3
We will drive you back to your address in Prague with your camera full of beautiful pictures and one more amazing story to tell.
This tour is considered easy for most people with about a 5km hike through the day, with gentle walking trails and a relaxed pace. However, there is a short steep climb of about 200 meters. For an even gentler option, check out our Tisa Rocks and Bastei Tour.
Absolutely! This tour is perfect for families, seniors, and anyone looking for a leisurely day out in nature. Children and adults alike will love exploring the iconic landmarks and scenic trails.
This Easy Walking Tour is a summer favorite, available from May to the end of October, when the trails are vibrant with greenery and perfect for exploration. However, Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland offer breathtaking beauty year-round, with each season showcasing its own charm—from the vibrant colors of autumn to the snow-covered magic of winter and the lively bloom of spring.
We run tours every day of the year, so no matter when you visit, you’ll always find an exciting adventure to explore the best of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. Let us help you discover the perfect tour for your visit!
We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. In colder months, layering is essential, while sunscreen and a hat are advisable during sunny days. Don’t forget your camera to capture the stunning scenery!
Yes! A delicious Czech lunch is included in the tour, with options for vegetarians and vegans. It’s the perfect way to recharge and enjoy local cuisine during your adventure.
The Easy Walking Tour is designed for a more relaxed experience, allowing guests to spend additional time exploring the charming Hřensko village, Mezná village, or the tranquil nature trails in the heart of the national park. Unlike the Best-Selling Tour, which includes a moderate hike to the Pravčická Gate (requiring an hour-long ascent and climbing some steep stairs), this tour skips that challenging section for a gentler adventure.
However, flexibility is key with this tour! Sometimes we combine Easy Walking Tour guests with moderate hikers in the same group. If you or a group member decide at the last minute to take on the hike to Pravčická Gate, you’re welcome to join that part of the tour. Meanwhile, others in your group can opt for the easier option of spending more time in Hřensko or nearby areas before everyone reunites for the magical boat ride through the Kamenice Gorges, which is part of both tours.
This flexibility makes the Easy Walking Tour perfect for mixed groups or families, ensuring everyone can tailor the day to their preferences while still enjoying the best of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland!

Yes, please bring your passport or European Union ID card for this tour. Since we cross the international border between the Czech Republic and Germany during the journey, it’s essential to have proper identification with you.
Absolutely! We highly recommend enhancing your experience by staying at Bohemian Homes, our charming retreat nestled in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland. Located near hiking trails, these cozy accommodations offer an ideal base to explore the region further.
