Easy walking tour: Tisa Rocks and Bastei Bridge

I had the pleasure of taking the Tisa Rocks tour with Ondrej yesterday and it was an experience to remember in every way. The photos of the nature do not do it justice - it’s simply amazing in person. Ondrej was a wonderful guide and traveling companion - super knowledgeable, kept track of everything and everyone beautifully, and is a warm, engaging conversationalist that also knows how to allow some quiet moments while driving or taking in the scenery which is a skill in and of itself. The brewery tour was also awesome and Ondrej’s knowledge in this area was indeed superb and the beers were quite good. Petra from the office was also wonderful - highly communicative and super responsive in answering all my questions and managing some logistical changes. I will note this trip has many flights of stairs - some man made and some nature made - it was a bit of a cardio challenge for my fitness level at times, but Ondrej and my tour mates were wonderful in giving me a helping hand literally and figuratively throughout the tour to ensure I was safe and I was able to rest periodically as needed without disturbing the group. I highly recommend this particular tour with Ondrej and would also sign up for any other tours with this provider as they really go the extra mile in ensuring a great experience!

Our tour guide Ondrej took us on an amazing adventure! He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He safely drove us to our various destinations and provided a history lesson and insights along the way. We especially enjoyed hiking through the sandstone Tisa Rocks. Views from the Bastei Bridge were quite impressive as well.

This day trip to Bohemian Saxon-Switzerland led by Michal (aka Misiu) Bohemia Adventures was just amazing!
Misiu is such a kind professional, picked up right on time and kept us informed of everything all the way, very knowledgeable about these regions and shared such significant fun facts throughout, he made our trip experience even much better with his presence and guidance. Oh yes! And a very patient and amazing photographer too ☺️

First we went to Tisa rocks where we hiked for 2 hrs amidst nature and birds giving us company - so peaceful all around. Easy and quite doable hike for beginners. Then we had a lunch stop in a microbrewery where it was fun to see the beer production process, enjoy a hearty lunch with great selection of beer tasting! Last but not the least the trip ended with short hike around the Bastei bridge in Saxon-Switzerland national park where we were rewarded with breathtaking sceneries so a day filled with adrenaline rush and bagful of memories!

Great day with our guide Misiu on the easy walking tour, Tisa Rocks and Bastei Bridge. Everything went smoothly from a timely pickup to a drop off right at our hotel. Lunch was wonderful and our guide was amazing. I would definitely book with this company again. Thanks for everything!

We were fortunate to have a private tour in November, not too much interest to be out in nature in the cold? This worked in our favor. Out tour guide Ondrej was fantastic. He arrived on time at our hotel and we were off to Tisá. The landscape was beautiful, we learned parts of the Narnia movie was filmed here. From there we went to a local brewery for a tour, beer tasting and a delicious lunch. We then went to Bastei bridge where the views were absolutely breathtaking. We had such a fun time and Ondrej answered all of our questions, recommended things to do for our last few days and places to see outside of Prague (wine country) the next time we visit. Highly recommend this tour and request Ondrej, he was absolutely amazing!

Our tour was informative and magical with the first snowfall in the Czech Bohemian Saxon Switzerland National Park. You were very accommodating and we appreciated getting to know you. We did a private tour of the Tisá hike. Our guide, Rina, was absolutely incredible! She has a natural sense of adventure which is infectious. She gave us options for what we might like to do; everything was very beautiful (we were blessed with perfect weather). The boat tour was the best part 🙂 Rina was extremely knowledgeable about the locations and about Czech history and life in general. We told her that she was more than just a guide, but a guru too! This was definitely the best day of our trip in Czech Republic. I would recommend Bohemia Adventures to all my friends!

Matej was an excellent tour guide, and so was the actual tour! The substitute Tisa Rocks was even more fun, possibly moreso than the original itinerary! And the tour was prepared for moderate hiking or raining with equipment for all the guests.

Definitely recommend! We did this tour March 6, 2023. Weather was 0°C/32°F. It was cold, but once you get moving it wasn't bad at all. For the time of year we went, I definitely recommend bringing a warm jacket, gloves, hat/beanie and fleece lined pants (just jeans would be quite cold in my opinion). We hiked in tennis shoes and strapped on ice spikes (provided by our guide), which were ok and our socks and feet managed to stay dry all day, but I would recommend wearing more traditional hiking and/or water resistant shoes if you packed them. Our guide Matej was AWESOME! He is very knowledgeable of the area and has a passion for sharing all he knows. Even though he just did the hike/tour the day before with another group, his excitement and energy level was as if he was doing the hike for the very first time. His level of passion for his job definitely helped make the overall experience a 5+. Due to recent fires in the National Forest, we did not visit Pravcicka Gate Trail as noted in the package because they are currently closed for repairs Monday-Thursday. Instead our guide took us to Tisa rocks Labyrinth which was a lovely alternative. As originally described, our second stop/hike was the Bastei Bridge in Germany which was beautiful. Less snow on the ground for us, a little more mud but our tennis shoes still held up just fine. The hikes are not too tough. We are by no means adventure junkies or avid hikers and had no issues. We took the trails at our own pace stopping as needed and had no issues. However, it's worth mentioning that there are some moderate inclines along the way and lots of stairs spread out throughout each hike. If you are nervous about heights, the last stop may prove a bit more challenging for you. I don't love heights, but again felt comfortable enough to take it all at my own pace and slowly cross each bridge and stand at each each lookout capturing some lovely pictures and memories for years to come.In the vehicle and available for use for the guests were: hiking poles, clamp on ice spikes for shoes, unused winter socks and gloves. The car was also well stocked with different flavored protein bars and water. The day before your scheduled adventure, check your Trip Advisor notifications/email for additional details from the tour company. I found this email to be full of useful details and last minute updates including the recommendation to download and/or share our WhatsApp information. The evening before our hike our guide had created a WhatsApp group with everyone scheduled and was able to share his location and estimated pick up time via the app the morning of. Additionally, now everyone in the group had a place to share pictures and keep in contact.In closing, if you want something out of the city to do while visiting Prague, THIS IS IT! Book it now. Do not hesitate.

Incredible experience! We visited Tisa Rocks and Bastei Bridge. What an awesome day, we were lucky enough to experience both places with snow, it was like being on a movie set. Our tour guide Pavlina was very knowledge and great fun. Couldn't recommend this trip enough. A great winter experience!

Absolutely breathtaking, I'm so happy I took this day trip. Tisá Rocks are gorgeous and the snow on the ground makes it even more beautiful. And the Bastei Bridge looks like a movie scene, something out of this world. Our guide Matej was amazing and he knows a lot about those places, and the lunch was also incredible. I can't recommend this enough, it's seriously worth every penny and every second!

This is the kind of trip that fits all ages. The trip was one of the highlights of our european tour this year and we are glad we ordered this trip at Bohemian Adventures. Tisa rocks and Bastei Bridge are an amazing find and one of our favorites. The trip to Dresden however is a sweet surprise. What a beautiful, charming city with mind-blowing architecture. We did not know this before we took the trip so this was really a tour that you can recommend to those who want to travel to Prague and wanted to check another city that is nearby and worth seeing. Last but not the least, our tour guide Warren is amazing, cool and really good at what he does. He gave us a lot of new information but not so much that you will begin to be overwhelmed. The pacing of his tour plan is just right and he adjusts to our group. We were travelling with 3 seniors, although they walk fast and always catch, Warren politely waits. For me who is into photography and takes thousands of photos at every interesting point, Warren also will enthusiastically suggest the interesting angles and landskapes one could best take a photo of. He also took with him his adorable and very smart daughter Caroline that also added to the nice and enttertaining ambience and gave us tips and took photos of me and my husband.
