Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Prague in the early morning. From that point, our mission is to give you everything you need to enjoy the day trip to the fullest. During the drive to the Northern Region in our comfortable fully outfitted vehicle (1 hr), we will provide you with a knowledge of the National Park, Czech country, and information about the trip and FREE WIFI.
After picking up the snowshoeing equipment from our ski rental (included in your tour), a complete instruction and safety information is, of course, included because we want you to feel comfortable on skis. You can fully enjoy 5 hrs of endless skiing possibilities from the door, through forests, across the lake and through the magnificent Czech wilderness. Along with reliable snow, the quality and variety of routes both on and off-track combine with excellent instruction to make this an ideal venue for all ability levels.
Next stop is the lunch included in your tour – Are you vegetarians, vegans, allergics or meat lovers, and are you interested in genuine Czech cuisine?? We will treat you with the main course and a drink – of your choice :).
We will deliver you back to your hotel with your camera full of beautiful photos and one more story to tell.
Snowshoe is a large aluminium frame that is attached to your feet. It will immediately make you waddle like a duck. It may feel funny if you haven't done this before but it's an amazing way of discovering the snowy countryside. As soon as you put your snowshoes on, we will teach you how to walk in them, where you lift your feet slightly, roll your feet more and really emphasise the stepping action on your toes.
Snowshoes work by distributing your weight over a larger surface area so that your foot does not sink into the snow, with gaps or woven grid patterns to cut through and flatten it, rather than absorb it. So in a sense, you are hiking in the snowy mountains where it would be hard to walk without. This gives you an immense opportunity to explore what is still untouched and really get connected to this fairytale land.
