Summer in Czech Republic: Things to do
First up, for those spending summer in Czech Republic’s capital city, we have details on all things to do in Prague! One of our favourite things to do in Prague in summer is to pay a visit to Prague Castle and the charming Charles Bridge. Prague is a tale of rebirth and regeneration, with the city, had faced many trials. See sites significant to Prague’s spirit of resilience on a historical walking tour. If you are done with the history and like to be in present then we would suggest taking Prague Beer Tour, As we believe we have the BEST BEER IN THE WORLD 😉 .
And now let’s come to reality, you just don’t want to be in Prague in this amazing weather and a beautiful country as the Czech Republic lives in its countryside. We would strongly recommend taking a ONE-DAY TOUR TO BOHEMIAN SWITZERLAND. This tour takes you to the central of Bohemian and Saxon National Park and then you can see the best highlights of the national park like Pravcicka Gate, The Gorges of the Kamenice River, The Bastei Bridge and Hrensko village. Bohemia Adventures will pick you up from your accommodation in Prague and take you for the tour. This hiking tour typically lasts about 8 to 10 hours and then BA will drop you back to your hotel with plenty of memories to take away.
Best Things to do in a Czech Republic summer
If you are an adventure seeker like us then CONGRATULATIONS you’ve found us. The reason we are saying this is because we love the winter and snow and snow sports like snowboarding and skiing but summer is just a different level in Czech and there is so much to do to get that feeling of completion. Here are some of the best things we like to do in summer.
Hiking/ Trekking
The Czech Republic is known for its countryside and there are several hiking trails you can take. Many of the best hiking trails finish with the traditional pubs in the end so you have something to look forward to towards the end of the trail as a reward. P.S many of these pubs brew their own beer so it is always a beautiful surprise. You can also take plenty of days tours to see the best highlights of the country and these guided tours are always fun as you usually have a small group of fellow travellers to share your experience with and plenty to learn as well while having fun.
Mountain Biking
Do you love those sick go pro or red-bull videos of adrenaline adventure? Well, it all starts here. Mountain biking offers unique opportunity to really explore deep into areas that are rarely visited, on incredible trails that are rarely ridden. Our mountain bike tours in Bohemian National Park are some of the most iconic in Europe as it’s for both beginners and experienced riders. You will get a chance to ride superb trails through some of the most unspoiled scenery. The Czech Republic is starting to come out as one of the best places in the world to learn mountain biking all thanks to its mountain size that is not too big to give you heart attacks but just right to give you the adrenaline you expect from MTB.
Rock Climbing and Via Ferrata
Chalk up those hands and get ready for an amazing rock-climbing adventure. Take advantage of all the different climbing terrains and options that the Czech Republic provides. Whether you are just a beginner ready to discover a new hobby or a pro wanting to test your skills on the sandstones of Northern Bohemian, this amazing country has got you covered.
If you haven’t done or heard of via ferrata then please know that you don’t have to be an expert climber to experience a via ferrata. You follow these “iron paths” to experience the majesty of the mountains as you enjoy a thrilling adventure. Bohemia Adventures Rock Climb and Via-Ferrata tour is specifically designed to give visitors a new hobby to explore and for pro an experience to take home.

The Czech Republic is famous for its countryside and what a great way to explore the Czech countryside in an old-fashioned way. There are many old traditional farms that offer horseback riding and this is something amazing also for family or friends holidays. Bohemia Adventures offers a horseback riding tour in the middle of the beautiful national park that will not just give you some adrenaline but a beautiful experience to take home.
Rafting and Canoeing
Discover unique perspectives of familiar places or check out something entirely new when you head out into the water. From canyoning in the Pyrenees to rafting on the mighty Colorado River and kayaking around one of Japan’s numerous islands, there is plenty to see and do when you ditch the land for a nearby body of water.
The Czech river Elbe is excellent for easy and relaxing trips on a raft or canoe, especially during the spring and summer months. You will sail through Europe’s deepest sandstone canyon in Bohemian Switzerland full of bizarre rock formations. Explore graceful rock landscapes and the romantic gorges with scenic valleys. Following the easy flow of the river and simply drifting along with a canoe or raft between the narrow sandstone walls is one of the most serene experiences. Take a Rafting tour with Bohemia Adventures to discover more.
E-Biking
Czech Republic has many great places to ride an electric bike and there are many places where you can rent/hire an eBike to ride and enjoy the scenery. If you go by e-bike you not only ride with electricity but also more and more with the current trend. The fan-base of the electrically supported bicycle has grown from one cycling season to the next. By riding an e-bike, you can enjoy the rush of air on your face without having to pedal too hard. This means you reach to some not so easy to reach places more safely and comfortably.
For those who don’t know, e-biking is just like riding a regular bike. But better to support you, because it has a little motor that is there to help! It is a great way to explore the Czech countryside and Bohemia Adventures offers an E-biking tour just to do that.
